Billy Nugent
Billy Nugent is a SAG-eligible actor that is based in New York but can work as an LA local. Billy was recently cast in IFC Films upcoming feature film Turn Me On starring Nick Robinson, Bel Powley, and Justin Min. Casting Director Donna McKenna cast Billy in a new TV Series, Heavy Hitters, to play a major guest star role in Season 1 Episode 4. Last year, he also made his Off-Broadway debut in Pipeline Theatre Company’s production of Bruise & Thorn (NY Times Critic’s Pick). Billy received his MFA in acting from the Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University, where he studied under acting coaches Elizabeth Kemp (Bradley Cooper, Hugh Jackman), Susan Aston (James Gandolfini), and Jacqueline Knapp. In addition, Billy has completed the acting-apprenticeship program at the Off-Broadway theatre company and school The Barrow Group. Here, he had the privilege to study under co-artistic directors Seth Barrish and Lee Brock for one year. In addition to his education, he has acted in numerous stage productions and short films. He played the co-lead in the short film Stiff, which was produced and edited by film director Christian Alvart (Pandorum, Case 39).
